Dr Mathini Ruthra-Rajan will be the newest addition to the North Brighton Medical team when she joins the clinic in March 2020 working Thursday mornings and alternate Saturday mornings.

Mathini recently relocated to Australia with her young family from the UK, where she was born and raised. She studied at Guy’s, King’s & St Thomas’ School of Medicine, at King’s College London and completed her medical degree in 2005. 

She worked on the Central Coast in NSW in 2007-8 before returning to the UK and completing her GP training in August 2011, where she worked as a GP in London and Surrey until 2019. She has also tutored and examined at St George’s Medical School in London and is looking forward to becoming more involved in education here in Australia. 

As a family GP, she has a particular interest in women’s health and family planning, mental health, children’s health and minor ENT procedures.
