At North Brighton Medical, we understand that your time is important. We don’t want you to have to spend any more time in our waiting room than you need to.
That’s why we offer our On-Time Guarantee for all our GP consultations. Note the On-Time Guarantee does not apply to consultations with our allied health professionals.
To qualify for the On-Time Guarantee:
Step 1: Book your GP appointment (preferably online).
Step 2: Arrive at our clinic on time for your appointment and check-in at the reception desk. If you're a new patient, you need to either bring a completed New Patient Registration Form with you, or arrive at least 10 minutes early so you can complete the form in the reception area prior to your appointment time.
Step 3: Let the receptionist know if you are not seen by your GP within 30 minutes of your appointment time.
If the above applies (and subject to the conditions below), then your consultation will be bulk billed as our way of apologising for the delay we’ve caused you.
Conditions:
We offer bulk billing for GP consultations to children 15 years and under and pension card holders 65 years and over between 10am and 4pm on weekdays, so the On-Time Guarantee does not apply to such patients during this time.
In some circumstances, our GPs may be running behind schedule due to a delay outside of our control (for example, an emergency in our waiting area or an electricity outage). If this occurs, we will endeavour to call you prior to your appointment to reschedule. The On-Time Guarantee does not apply if you choose to not reschedule your appointment (or if you do not answer our call). If you do reschedule, the On-Time Guarantee applies to the rescheduled appointment time.
You must have a valid Medicare card for your consultation to be bulk billed. If you do not have a valid Medicare card but you otherwise qualify for the On-Time Guarantee and your GP is late, the fees you are required to pay to us will be discounted, so that they are capped at the Medicare bulk billing rate that would apply to your consultation if you did have a Medicare card.
Please note that because of our On-Time Guarantee, we need to ensure consultations run for no more than their allotted time. If you have several medical issues or a complex problem to discuss with your doctor, you should book a longer appointment, as you may otherwise need to book a second consultation so all issues can be fully addressed. If more than one family member needs to see a GP, ensure a separate appointment is booked for each person.
The conditions of the On-Time Guarantee are subject to change at any time.
