Under our harsh climate, skin cancer is one of the leading health issues and causes of death for Australians.
It is important to have your skin checked regularly so that any skin cancers can be identified and treated as soon as possible.
FULL BODY SKIN CANCER CHECKS
Dr Peter Semaan, Dr Marcus Peplow, Dr Ingrid Chung, and Dr Charis Herman are highly trained and experienced in diagnosing and treating skin cancer, however they only have the capacity to do full body skin cancer checks on their existing regular patients. These cannot be booked online, so please call us on 03 8506 9949 to book.
If you are a new patient or a regular patient of one of our other GPs, you will need to book a Full Body Skin Check at a dedicated skin cancer clinic, such as Australian Skin Cancer Clinics - phone 1300 754 636.
For a skin check, our normal time-based fees apply - for a full skin check, please select “Full Body Skin Check” as the appointment type. This will usually be a long consultation, so the fee is $184.90 (with a Medicare rebate of $84.90).
skin/mole review
Our Brighton doctors are able to review a concerning mole or lesion - ie. if you have previously been advised by a doctor to it reviewed in a few months’ time.
Ideally, this appointment should be booked with the same GP that reviewed the mole or lesion last time.
Our clinic provides skin cancer checks and treatment for patients across Brighton and surrounding suburbs. We regularly care for patients from Brighton, Gardenvale, Ripponlea, Elwood, Caulfield South, Bentleigh, McKinnon, Elsternwick, and Ormond. Our team supports patients with regular skin checks, mole monitoring, and treatment planning to help manage skin health over time.
